Bike and Roll NYC is an official bicycle rental concessionaire of the New York City Parks Department and is the only company that operates not one, but two locations in Central Park. The Columbus Circle location is conveniently located at the busiest entrance to the crown jewel of NYC Parks. Bike and Roll at Tavern on the Green is situated near the historic visitor center and is a popular place for rentals as well as the starting point for our Central Park Loop Tour, a two hour ride riding to the highlights of Central Park. One of the most popular sections of the NYC Greenway is along the Hudson River and Bike and Roll NYC has four locations on the Hudson to allow a convenient start to your Greenway journey from many points in Manhattan. From any of these locations one can pedal on a traffic-free bike path along the Hudson River, past famous landmarks and over the Brooklyn Bridge – the largest suspension bridge in the world when it was first built. Return to Manhattan by bicycle or drop off your bike at our new Brooklyn Bridge Park location to check out this beautiful new park, one of the most recent green space additions to New York.

Bicycle rentals and tours can be combined with the New York Water Taxi or other water transit to enhance the riding experience. By using a bicycle in combination with water transit, riders can easily connect all the New York City boroughs.

For a small additional fee, riders can purchase a Day Pass. This unique program allows riders to hop on – hop off their bicycle at most Bike and Roll NYC locations. This allows riders the flexibility of leaving the bicycle attended while visiting an attraction or stopping at a restaurant. It also allows riders to ride one way without having to return the bike to the point of origin. This program offers maximum flexibility and provides a green and healthy means to navigate New York City.

As well as their rental and tour programs, Bike and Roll provides a Free Bicycle program on Governors Island every Friday during the summer season as well as supporting important local biking events like Summer Streets and the TD Bank 5 Borough Ride. In 2011, Bike and Roll will add Free Riding Lessons on weekend mornings to its offerings.
